Flyer Pitch Benefits

Instead of traditional finalist placements, finalists will be awarded funding and in-kind prizes based on amounts determined by the competition judges and sponsors, based on the consideration of the needs and relevance of each team. In addition to prize money and in-kind prizes, the semi-finalists and finalists can receive mentorship, Hub memberships, student support, and more.

Mentorship

All three tracks (ESP, Main Street, and Nonprofit)

  • Each team will receive a mentor who is hand selected and an expert in the team's respected fields

  • A meet and greet event will be provided as an initial meeting

  • The teams will be required to meet with their mentors three times between Round 2 and Round 3 

  • The mentors can provide feedback and advice on the team's operation, business plan, and pitch

  • The mentors will be evaluating the teams on their coachability and provide insight to the judges on their mentee experience

Hub Membership

  • Each semifinalist will receive a coworking membership to The Hub powered by PNC Bank from November 2023 to November 2024.

  • Members are supported through a comprehensive collection of venture creation services, space solutions, experiential opportunities and capital sources – all focused on fostering entrepreneurialism and innovation.

  • Some of the benefits of a coworking membership at The Hub include: unlimited access to coshare and common areas during normal operating hours with freedom to use the space during after hours, access to high-speed internet, 2 guest day passes per month, and 8 conference room hours

Interactive Experiences

  • The Flyer Pitch experience is one of a kind and is designed to help support and grow the businesses it serves

  • The participants will receive workshops tailored to help the teams tailor their pitches and business plans 

  • The selected teams and the finalists will have an opportunity to network, gain feedback, and launch their business with Flyer Pitch support

  • The Crotty Center team is always available and welcomes the teams to reach out in times of need to answer questions and provide clarity so that the teams are comfortable with pitching their venture's ideas and plan
